The popular resale platform has revised its measurement guidelines for women's and children's clothes failing to inform all shoppers about the modification. Online Platforms Reaction Countless users and merchants are posting online stating that platform listings now display an altered size classification versus the original listing due to the recalibration. The company said the new system was more in line with similar services. They have suggested members to check their listings and manually change the size where appropriate, which has left users frustrated. Size Classification Updates Earlier, the sizes had both a single numeric size and a letter, like S/8 or M/10. The updated approach includes a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10. In some cases, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. Member Accounts Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. A different member, based in Glasgow, explained products she uploaded with size 14 tags were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they will likely be quite upset," she explained. Necessary Adjustments Another shopper, from Derby, stated she felt frustrated due to the update requiring manual adjustment the measurements for "each individual item". "This situation is especially annoying, as I'm chronically ill and Vinted sales have been crucial following partial earnings loss," she explained. Marketplace Information The app has more than 100 million users, including 18 million in the UK. It has become a favored option to second-hand platforms like eBay and Depop.
